    Nate Goldshlag’s Videos of Mardi Gras 2008

    The Faquetigue Mardi Gras run takes place outside of Eunice Louisiana and is a total blast. Jane played guitar almost the whole time. The tradition is to go from house to house collecting chicken for the gumbo at the end of the day. It ended with a big party at Joel Savoy’s house.

    The clip-clop music is the famous version of the Mardi Gras Song by Nathan Abshire and the Balfa Brothers. The other version is by Michael Doucet and BeauSoleil.Video clips, including Jane playing with our krewe, chasing the chickens, and a beautiful waltz played at Dennis McGee’s grave:
